My name is Mandalina Stanisich and I am a writer, director, producer and art installation artist. This site will enable you to see my future, current and past successful projects.
My passion usually shaped from personal experience or by experiencing the sensitivity of others, which in turn motivates my drive to complete the meaningful projects. My aim is to produce material that will stir and help create awareness to a broad audience, engaging them in social issues facing the community as a whole.
Since I studied at the Christchurch Broadcasting School and received a Bachelor of Broadcast Communications I have been involved in the New Zealand film and television industry. I worked on a variety of projects in various roles, both in New Zealand and overseas.
In 1996, I received funding from Creative NZ and completed my first short film – ‘Repeated Moment.’ It was selected for a film festival and also screened on cable television in the United States. I have continued to write and in the future hope to complete another short film and work towards developing a feature film idea.
While maintaining my devotion to film, simultaneously a passion for installation art gives me an alternative method to express my creative vision. It is a way to highlight social issues in a public forum, using a mixture of different platforms.
